Faculties and Institutes

De Montfort University is comprised of five faculties. Each is responsible for research activities in their specialist fields, ensuring that learners benefit from taught programmes that are relevant and up-to-date. Although the faculties often engage in collaborative interdisciplinary work, where research is of particular strategic importance the University has also established a small number of stand alone institutions.

These are detailed below:

Emterc Research Group

The Emerging Technologies Research Centre (EMTERC) is internationally acknowledged as a centre of expertise in microelectronic devices, circuits and reliability and the application areas for microelectronics, such as telecommunications.
